Redknapp slams Mourinho’s treatment of Man United star: He’s been hung out to dry
The Liverpool FC legend questions Jose Mourinho's treatment of Manchester United record signing Paul Pogba

Jamie Redknapp admits he has sympathy for Paul Pogba given Jose Mourinho’s treatment of the Manchester United record signing.
The France international has struggled to tie down a regular spot in the Manchester United team over the past few months to raise questions about the 24-year-old’s long-term future at Old Trafford.
Mourinho has used Pogba sparingly in recent months given his ineffective performances in midfield alongside Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay to even prompt speculation suggesting the French star could leave Manchester United in the summer.
Pogba was omitted from the Manchester United starting line up for their games against Huddersfield Town, Sevilla and Liverpool FC to underline his decreasing importance under Mourinho.
The former Juventus midfielder is currently sidelined with a fresh injury problem to further compound his miserable spell at Manchester United despite Mourinho making Pogba the club’s most-expensive signing.
Ex-Liverpool FC captain Redknapp believes Pogba will struggle to reclaim his place in the Manchester United team.
“Manchester United’s victory must have been bittersweet for Paul Pogba, as United showed they could win a big game without him,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
“With Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic, there was a more balanced look to their midfield.
“When Pogba returns to fitness, I can only see him making the bench. I have some sympathy for him. He will feel like he has been hung out to dry by his manager.
“Despite sharing a joke in the tunnel after Saturday’s win, it seems Mourinho and Pogba have lost trust in one another.”
Pogba has scored three times and has made nine assists in 19 games in the Premier League team.
The French midfielder was part of the Manchester United team that won the Europa League and the League Cup this term.
