Gary Neville names Alexis Sanchez’s best position for Man United
The Man United legend explains where Alexis Sanchez should play in the Red Devils team

Gary Neville believes Alexis Sanchez’s best position is on the left wing for Manchester United.
The Red Devils signed the Chile international in a swap deal from bitter rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Sanchez was recruited to bolster Jose Mourinho’s attacking options and to prove more of a threat up front.
However, the South American has struggled to hit the ground running after a return of two goals in eight games in all competitions.
Sanchez started in a centre-forward role at Arsenal for three seasons before the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette last summer.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has used the South American in a variety of positions but Romelu Lukaku has retained his place up front.
Sanchez started on the left wing in front of Paul Pogba for Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
Former Manchester United defender Neville believes Sanchez is most effective on the left wing cutting inside.
“For me, I see Alexis Sanchez as being at his best in the left channel, attacking defenders, committing them, playing one-two combination,” Neville told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.
“He has to try and get in those positions for Manchester United.”
Manchester United will take on third-placed Liverpool FC in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday in a key clash in the battle to finish behind runaway leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool FC and Manchester United played out a goalless draw at Anfield back in October.
