Rio Ferdinand: What I really think about Alexis Sanchez at Man United
The Man United legend is disappointed with Alexis Sanchez's start to life at Old Trafford

Rio Ferdinand has suggested that Alexis Sanchez looks like a stranger in the Manchester United team.
The Red Devils signed the Chile international in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window after Henrikh Mkhitaryan made the switch to the north London side in the opposite direction.
Manchester United handed Sanchez their biggest contract after the South American put pen to paper on a £350,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford to eclipse Paul Pogba as the club’s top earner.
The 29-year-old forward has only managed to score one goal in 10 appearances in all competitions in the current campaign following his lucrative move to Manchester United from Arsenal.
Sanchez was muted during Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash at Old Trafford following two goals from Wissam Ben Yedder in the final 16 minutes.
The Chilean forward scored 24 goals in 38 games in the Premier League last term to finish behind Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Sanchez’s team-mate Romelu Lukaku in the goal-scoring charts.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand believes Sanchez is struggling to adjust to life at Old Trafford following his January move.
“Alexis Sanchez just looks like a shadow of the player he was,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“When it was at Arsenal, he was the player that everyone looked to for inspiration.
“Here, he just looks like a stranger in this team. When you go to a new team, you don’t lose all your talent. In some ways I feel sorry for him, but it just isn’t going for him.”
Manchester United only signed Sanchez in the January transfer window.
