Ryan Giggs: Man United star is unbelievable and outrageous
The Man United legend believes David De Gea is clearly the best goalkeeper in the world

Ryan Giggs has hailed Manchester United number one David De Gea as the best goalkeeper in the world ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby.
The Spain international has maintained his incredible performance levels in the 2017-18 season after winning the club’s player of the year in three of the past four campaigns.
De Gea equalled a Premier League record with 14 saves in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend to limit the hosts to one goal.
The 27-year-old has been regularly linked with a return to the Spanish capital but Real Madrid haven’t been able to conclude a deal for the Manchester United number one.
De Gea will need to be at his best to stop a Manchester City that has scored 43 times in 15 games in the Premier League this season to build an eight-point lead.
Giggs played alongside De Gea in the final seasons of his illustrious career before he coached the Manchester United shot stopper under David Moyes’ management in 2013-14.
Former Manchester United midfielder Giggs haled De Gea as the best goalkeeper in the world ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon.
“Goalkeepers are always important, especially if you’re going for the Premier League, and you see the impact Ederson has had, where last year they had lots of problems,” Giggs told Sky Sports.
“Once you have that and you’re not worrying about the goalkeeper then the confidence goes right through the team and just gives you that confidence that if they do break the defence that you’ve got somebody like David de Gea getting you out of trouble.
“He was unbelievable last weekend and I think he’s the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment. Consistency, pulling off outrageous saves and he hardly ever makes mistakes.”
De Gea moved to Manchester United in an £18m deal from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
