Alan Shearer sends blunt Man United message to Jose Mourinho
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer believes Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho needs to stop complaining

Alan Shearer has demanded that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho “stop moaning” and focus on winning Premier League matches.
The Red Devils boss has predicted a difficult season for the 20-time English champions after Manchester United missed out on some summer targets.
Manchester United signed Brazil international Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk in a £52m deal, while FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant.
Mourinho was linked with moves to sign Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic – but none of them materialised.
The Red Devils were 2-1 winners against Leicester City in their Premier League opener at Old Trafford courtesy of goals from Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer believes the Red Devils boss needs to put his energy into cultivating a winning spirit at Manchester United.
“In every interview Mourinho is complaining and frowning and looking to scowl at everybody,” Shearer told The Sun.
“He can’t change the squad now. He has to work with the players he has got and that IS a talented group of players.
“The moaning must stop now and he has to get his head round winning football matches.
“There is a lot of opposition out there this year. Liverpool have spent a lot to try to get nearer to City, while the champions splashed out £60million on Riyad Mahrez.
“Jose has got to get that United squad to a position where they are starting to challenge City.”
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge of the Red Devils.
Manchester United have only managed to finish in the top four on two occasions in the past five seasons since Ferguson’s retirement.
The 20-time English champions will take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League next weekend.
