Juan Mata won’t rush Man United decision – report
The Manchester United star hasn't made a decision about signing a new deal at Old Trafford, according to a report
Juan Mata won’t rush into a decision about his long-term future at Manchester United, according to a report in England.
ESPN is reporting that the Spain international won’t make a quick decision about his future despite having little over seven months left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford.
The same article states that Mata has been offered a new contract with the 20-time English champions as the Red Devils look to tie down the experienced Spanish playmaker.
According to the same story, the 30-year-old is ready to wait before making a decision about the next step in his career following four years at Old Trafford.
Mata moved to Manchester United in a then club record £37m deal from Chelsea FC in the 2014 January transfer window after Jose Mourinho deemed the World Cup winner to be surplus to requirements.
In a twist of fate, the pair ended up being reunited at Manchester United when Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford in May 2016.
Mata has won the FA Cup, the Europa League and the League Cup since his move to Manchester United, but the Spanish star hasn’t been able to inspire the Red Devils to the Premier League title.
Indeed, the English top flight crown has remained elusive following his spells at Chelsea FC and Manchester United.
