Jamie Carragher claims Romelu Lukaku is meeting Man United’s expectations
The Liverpool FC legend believes Romelu Lukaku is starting to turn a corner at Manchester United

Jamie Carragher believes Romelu Lukaku is starting to fulfill Manchester United fans’ expectations of the striker.
The Belgium international moved to the Red Devils in a £75m deal from Everton last summer despite interest from Chelsea FC.
Lukaku became Manchester United’s second-most expensive player of all-time behind France midfielder Paul Pogba.
The 24-year-old scored 10 times in his opening nine games but required another 29 appearances to reach the 20-goal mark.
However, Lukaku has impressed in recent weeks with starring performances in 2-1 victories over Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC.
The summer signing has netted five goals and has made two assists in his last six games in all competitions.
Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher believes Lukaku is beginning to justify his lavish price tag at Old Trafford.
“He has been outstanding in his last two games,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“His involvement in the two goals, the one he created for the winner and his first-half goal against Chelsea. That was the point he had to prove – that he could deliver in big games.
“He has certainly done that in the last few weeks. That will go a long way in terms of Manchester United fans in pushing him to the forefront of how they think a Manchester United striker should perform.”
Manchester United won the Europa League and the League Cup last season to enjoy a winning start under Jose Mouirnho.
However, the Red Devils could finish the current campaign without silverware unless Manchester United win the FA Cup.
