Kevin Kilbane raves about 23-year-old Man United star
Former Irish defender Kevin Kilbane heaps praise on Man United defender Luke Shaw

Kevin Kilbane has admitted that he was delighted to see Luke Shaw excel in the Manchester United team last week.
The England international was named in Jose Mourinho’s first starting line up for the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Shaw scored Manchester United’s second goal in a 2-1 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford to scoop the man of the match award.
The 23-year-old appears to be in good physical condition having previously faced accusations of being overweight.
Mourinho hasn’t been afraid to criticise the £27m signing of the past two seasons to cast doubt on Shaw’s future at Old Trafford.
However, the former Southampton defender will be hoping that a strong start to the current campaign can silence his critics.
Former Irish defender Kilbane was delighted to see Shaw thrive in the Manchester United team.
“I was so pleased for Shaw given the stick that has been thrown at him over the summer,” Kilbane told Irish radio station Newstalk.
“He looked fit. He looked leaner.”
Shaw moved to Manchester United in a £27m deal from Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The Red Devils star suffered a horror leg break during Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to PSV in September 2015 to deal a blow to his promising progress.
