Gary Lineker has questioned whether Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is a natural goal poacher.
The England international has been a regular in Jose Mourinho’s side in the Premier League this season.
Rashford was left out of the Manchester United team for their victories at Watford and Arsenal in the English capital.
The 21-year-old centre-forward returned to the Red Devils starting line-up and he scored Manchester United’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over CSKA Moscow.
Rashford has scored 10 goals and four assists in 23 games in all competitions in the 2017-18 season.
However, the Manchester United striker has a respectable return of 27 goals in 95 games in all competitions since making his debut in 2015.
The England forward will be hoping to secure a return to the Manchester United starting line-up when the Red Devils host Manchester City in the derby at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Former England and Tottenham striker Lineker delivered his honest verdict on the Manchester United forward.
“I look at him and the only thing that I don’t necessarily see is that he’s a natural poacher in the six-yard box,” Lineker told BT Sport.
“But even that might improve and I suppose he’s playing in a position where that doesn’t automatically come anyway because he has played in the middle and generally plays out wide.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the Europa League and the Europa League.
The Red Devils signed Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.
