Former Red Devils defender Neville is confident that Manchester United have the right manager in Mourinho.
“Yes he is the right manager. I 100 per cent think he is. He had a fantastic season last year,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“Man United have improved this year. It will be difficult to win the league.
“He is the type of manager who brings success. He almost guarantees that.”
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in Mourinho’s first season in charge but won the Europa League and the League Cup.
