Mark Lawrenson identifies turning point in Paul Pogba’s season at Man United
The Liverpool FC legend doesn't believe Man United star Paul Pogba has been the same player since his hamstring injury back in September

Paul Pogba hasn’t been the same player since the Manchester United star’s hamstring injury back in September, Mark Lawrenson has claimed.
The France international made a brilliant start to the current campaign following two goals and two assists in their opening three Premier League games.
The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring problem back in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in their opening Champions League group stage.
However, Pogba has been unable to impress in the Manchester United team over the past couple of months since his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Indeed, the French star was substituted midway through the second half of Manchester United’s losses at Tottenham Hotspur and Neecastle United.
Pogba was omitted from the Manchester United team that beat the Terriers in the Premier League two weeks ago to raise questions about his future.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson pinpointed the moment where Pogba’s season started to go off track.
“Before he got his hamstring injury, he was playing really well this season,” Lawrenson told BBC Radio 5 Live. “He hasn’t been the same since.”
The Red Devils signed Pogba in an £89m transfer from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Manchester United won the FA Cup and the Europa League last season back at Old Trafford following an £89m move from Serie A giants Juventus.
