Alan Shearer: Jose Mourinho has to get best out of Man United star
The Newcastle legend sends message to Jose Mourinho about Man United star Paul Pogba

Alan Shearer believes it is Jose Mourinho’s responsibility to get the best out of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Red Devils are still contending with speculation linking Pogba with a move to FC Barcelona, which has been brewing over the past couple of weeks.
The France international can still leave Manchester United before La Liga’s deadline on 31 August despite the English transfer window shutting last week.
Pogba won the World Cup in Russia this summer after the versatile midfielder scored in a 4-2 win over Croatia in the final.
The 25-year-old has been regularly criticised for his lacklustre performances under Mourinho since his club record £89m move to Manchester United.
Pogba was named the stand-in captain for the visit of Leicester City in the opening Premier League fixture of the 2018-19 season.
The World Cup winner broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Leicester at Old Trafford.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer informed Mourinho that it is his responsibility to get the best out of Pogba.
“We saw the best of Pogba in the World Cup,” Shearer told The Sun.
“Didier Deschamps managed to get top performances out of him in the games he played in the summer and he played very, very well.
“He has to replicate that for United but it’s also Mourinho’s job to get the best out of him.
“Pogba did his bit on Friday in the 2-1 opening win over Leicester.
“He played well, scored the penalty — showing real confidence — but now he has to do that every single week.”
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge.
The Red Devils will take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League in the second round of fixtures.
