Sir Alex Ferguson opens up about Man United under Jose Mourinho
Sir Alex Ferguson tells Man United not to lose hope of catching Man City in the title race

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Manchester United shouldn’t rule out hope of catching Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
Pep Guardiola’s men have been earning rave reviews for their performances this season and are currently leading the way by far at the top of the table.
Manchester United lost further ground on their local rivals on Saturday when they were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Southampton at Old Trafford.
It looks increasingly unlikely that the Red Devils will be able to challenge Manchester City for the title this season.
However, former Manchester United manager Ferguson has told the Red Devils not to rule out hope of catching City just year.
Ferguson is quoted as saying by Metro: “I remember when Newcastle were 12 or 13 points ahead of us, we caught them.
“The year we were nine points ahead of Arsenal and had all the injuries and lost it to them, when they beat us here [at Old Trafford] 1-0.
“So things can happen you maybe don’t expect to, but they can happen!”
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after three straight draws when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Monday.
Jose Mourinho will be hoping to steer the Red Devils into the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they take on Sevilla in the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition next month.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge last term.
