Jose Mourinho sent advice about 24-year-old Man United star
Danny Murphy tells Jose Mourinho to give Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof a sustained run in the team

Danny Murphy has urged Jose Mourinho to give Victor Lindelof a sustained run in the Manchester United team.
The Sweden international completed a move to the Red Devils in a £30m deal from Portuguese side Benfica in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Lindelof made his debut in Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in Uefa Super Cup final but didn’t start in the Premier League until October.
The 24-year-old was a regular in the Champions League but the centre-half found his first-team opportunities limited under Mourinho.
Lindelof impressed in the World Cup as Sweden reached the round of 16 before a 2-0 loss to England with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Manchester United were linked with a host of centre-halves in the summer transfer window, including Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire.
Lindelof started Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Leicester City in their Premier League opener on Friday.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Murphy believes Lindelof needs a run in the Manchester United team to gain confidence.
“Lindelof had a few really good games,” Murphy told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“How do you get a new player to play at his best? You have to give him a platform. Not in and out, in and out.”
Manchester United signed Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant this summer.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final last term to miss out on a trophy in Mourinho’s second season.
