Wes Brown sends Man United challenge to Victor Lindelof
Manchester United legend Wes Brown is hoping Victor Lindelof can recreate his World Cup form at Old Trafford

Wes Brown admits he is hopeful that Victor Lindelof can replicate his World Cup form in a Manchester United shirt next season.
The Sweden international endured a difficult debut campaign at Old Trafford following his move to Manchester United in a £30m deal from Portuguese side Benfica in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Lindelof was made to wait for his Premier League debut after his first start came in a 2-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup in August 2017.
The 24-year-old was unable to hold down a regular starting spot in the Manchester United team under Jose Mourinho despite forging a promising reputation in the Portuguese top flight.
He finished the 2017-18 season with 13 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League campaign, while he played in two games in their run to the FA Cup final.
Lindelof excelled in the World Cup after the Manchester United defender helped the Sweden national team to reach the quarter-finals before a 2-0 loss to England.
Former Manchester United defender Brown is hopeful that the Red Devils can get the best out of Lindelof this season following his excellent performances at the World Cup.
“Lindelof had a fantastic World Cup and I thought he did really well,” said Brown, speaking exclusively to 888sport.
“The Swedes were solid as a team and he was a big part of that. That’s what everyone hopes he can now do for Man United.
“Players don’t necessarily start off great straight away. Some take a little time to bed in and I’m hoping he is one of them.”
Manchester United have signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant this summer.
