Zlatan Ibrahimovic is adamant that he could still score goals in the Premier League, adding that he’s ready to answer Manchester United’s call.

The former Sweden international has been in prolific form for LA Galaxy in Major Soccer League in the USA following his move to California from Manchester in 2018.

Ibrahimovic has netted 22 times in 22 games in the MLS this year, while he scored 22 goals in 27 outings in 2018.

Manchester United are light on forward options after Romelu Lukaku completed a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan earlier this month.

Alexis Sanchez is also expected to complete a switch to the Italian club in a loan deal to leave Solskjaer with just Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood up front.

Ibrahimovic, though, has insisted that he’d be open to returning to Manchester United to prove that he can still score goals in the Premier League.

“The lion still roars, yes. I could still play easily in the Premier League. If United needs me, I’m here,” Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

“But right now Galaxy has me and that’s what I’m concentrating on.

“I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it. I have 33 trophies that I brought with me and hopefully I can win something here and then we will see where I finish.”

Ibrahimovic won the Europa League and the League Cup during his brief stint at Manchester United.

The 37-year-old’s 2016-17 season was cut short after Ibrahimovic suffered a serious knee injury in the Europa League semi-final.

Ibrahimovic netted a respectable 29 goals in 53 games for Manchester United under his former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United will take on Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
