Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to ease to a comfortable win against Leicester City on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils have made an impressive start to the Premier League season after easing to 4-0 victories over West Ham and Swansea City.
Romelu Lukaku scored twice against the Hammers before France duo Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba netted late goals at Old Trafford.
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly was on the score sheet in south Wales before Lukaku, Martial and Pogba all netted their second Premier League goals of the campaign.
Leicester, on the other hand, came out on the wrong side of seven-goal thriller in the season’s opening game after a 4-3 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Foxes were 2-0 winners against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend to notch up their first win of the 2017-18 campaign.
Former Liverpool striker Owen is backing Manchester United to ease to a straightforward win against Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
“Leicester have scored in all but one of their 15 Premier League games under Craig Shakespeare and this represents the first real challenge for Jose Mourinho’s side in the league this term,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Romelu Lukaku has now scored 15 times in his last 11 home games in the PL after his brace against West Ham on the opening weekend, and United fans would have been delighted to see the Belgian back that up with the vital second goal at Swansea last Saturday.
“United won the corresponding game 4-1 last season and I think there will be goals in what should be a terrific game at Old Trafford.”
Manchester United are looking to win their first Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson lifted his 13th top-flight trophy.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term in their first campaign under Jose Mourinho.
