Manchester United have joined the race to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus in the January transfer window

Manchester United are ready to make a move to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils have been given the “green light” to make a £60m move to sign the Brazilian full-back next month.
The same report states that Chelsea had a £65m bid for Sandro turned down in the summer but Manchester United are now in the running, and the Serie A side are ready to cut their losses and cash-in next month.
The story also says that Manchester United and Chelsea remain as the two teams interested in signing the 26-year-old when the January transfer window opens in the new year.
The Brazilian has been in decent form for Juventus so far this season, scoring one goal and making three assists in 10 Serie A games for the Italian champions.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will indeed win the race for Sandro’s signature ahead of mid-season transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are currently preparing for their League Cup quarter-final clash against Bristol City on Wednesday night.
Manchester United are still in second place in the Premier League table and 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.
