Andreas Pereira heaps praise on Fred for his solid display for Man United in their 2-1 win over Leicester

Andreas Pereira praised Fred for his solid performance as the midfielder helped Manchester United claim a 2-1 win over Leicester City in their Premier League opener on Friday night.
Fred signed for the Red Devils earlier this summer as Jose Mourinho moved quickly to bring the Brazilian midfielder to Old Trafford as he bolstered his squad.
The 25-year-old Brazilian played 76 minutes of the opening day game as he made his debut at Old Trafford under his new manager.
And Pereira was impressed by what he saw from the new signing as the Brazilian looks to try and adapt to the rigours of the Premier League as quickly as possible.
Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Perreira said: “Fred is a very good player and I am very happy for him.
“He played very well today and I am happy we won. I am also very happy for Luke Shaw, [who scored] a good goal.”
Manchester United will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in second place and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils signed three new players in the summer transfer window after completing deals for Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant.
Mourinho has been tasked with steering Manchester United to the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013.
He led the Red Devils to the Europa League and League Cup in his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
