Pep Guardiola rates Man United, Arsenal’s title chances
Pep Guardiola is tipping Man United and Arsenal to be involved in the Premier League title race

Pep Guardiola believes that there will be more contenders for the Premier League this season – and says Manchester United and Arsenal could be involved in the title race.
Guardiola is currently preparing his Manchester City side for another title defence as they look to win the Premier League trophy for the third season running.
Manchester City just pipped Liverpool FC to the Premier League title last season as they ended up just a single point ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Liverpool FC will be aiming to challenge Manchester City once again but the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United have made some significant signings in the summer transfer window.
And Manchester City boss Guardiola feels that the title race is likely to be more open than the two-horse race we saw last season.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Guardiola said: “I don’t know if it’ll be like last season with two real contenders to win the Premier League.
“I think United, with [Harry] Maguire, and the others have bought – Arsenal as well and Chelsea and Tottenham.
“So I think there will be many contenders this time.”
Guardiola was speaking after watching his Manchester City side claim a penalty shootout victory over Liverpool FC in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.
The Citizens will kick off their Premier League campaign with a trip to West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime, with Liverpool FC hosting Norwich City on Friday night in their season curtain-raiser.
