Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops hint about Man United captaincy
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer promises Man United fans that they will make an announcement about their new captain 'soon'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised Manchester United fans that the club will make an announcement about a new captain “soon”.
The Red Devils are currently on the lookout for a new skipper after veteran Antonio Valencia left the club this summer.
Ashley Young wore the captain’s armband for large portions of last season but the winger is likely to play a more reduced role this season as he approaches the end of his career.
Paul Pogba also captained Manchester United at some points last term, but it still remains to be seen who will be handed the armband on a permanent basis at Old Trafford.
Now, Manchester United boss Solskjaer has insisted that the club plan to make a decision about their new captain sooner rather than later.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Solskjaer said: “We’ve got different captain types.
“There are vocal leaders and players like David [De Gea], who has merit with what he’s done and he’ll play the majority of the games.
“We’ll announce something soon.”
Manchester United are currently gearing up for their Premier League curtain-raiser against Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday 11 August.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League last season and their main focus will be on trying to break back into the top four this term.
Manchester United have made two signings so far this summer after having wrapped up deals for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
