Michael Carrick sends message to Man United fans about Scott McTominay
Michael Carrick says he has been impressed by Scott McTominay's performances for Man United

Michael Carrick has lavished praise on Scott McTominay for his humble attitude since breaking into the first team at Manchester United.
With the likes of Ander Herrera currently sidelined with injury, Jose Mourinho has opted to give the 21-year-old the chance to prove himself in the Manchester United first-team.
The English midfielder has not disappointed, and the youngster has impressed whenever called upon by the Portuguese coach this season.
McTominay has made a total of nine appearances in the Premier League this season as he bids to stake his claim for a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford.
And fellow midfielder Carrick says he has been impressed by what he has seen from McTominay both on and off the pitch since his emergence at Old Trafford.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, veteran Red Devils midfielder Carrick said: “Scott doesn’t seem too interested in all the glitz and the glamour that can surround young players these days.
“It is about making a career. You can’t live like you have had a career before you have had a career.
“You’ve got to earn it, you’ve got to establish yourself and he has done great so far.
“It’s early days, he has a long way to go to get to the other end of the scale where I’m at but he has given himself the best possible chance to do it.”
Manchester United now switch their attentions back towards FA Cup affairs and their quarter-final showdown against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Mourinho is aiming to try and steer the Red Devils into the semi-finals as he looks to deliver another trophy in his second campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
