Robbie Fowler baffled by Man United’s latest summer signing
Robbie Fowler admits he was shocked by Romelu Lukaku's decision to move to Manchester United this summer

Robbie Fowler has admitted that he is “baffled” by Romelu Lukaku’s decision to sign for Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils confirmed on Saturday that they had agreed a £75m fee with Everton to sign the Belgian forward.
The news of the move came as something of a surprise to many fans, given that Lukaku was widely expected to make a return to Chelsea this summer after being heavily linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge.
However, it appears that Jose Mourinho was very keen to link up with the Belgian forward again and moved quickly to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
And former Liverpool striker Fowler admits that he was shocked to learn about the transfer over the weekend.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mirror, Fowler said: “I have to admit I’m baffled by Romelu Lukaku’s decision to join Manchester United.
“It’s a funny one, why would he want to go and play for a manager who has already twice deemed him not good enough, which is exactly what Jose Mourinho has done, whatever way he wraps it up.”
Manchester United are currently in the United States for their pre-season tour of America as Mourinho’s men gear up for their second campaign under the Portuguese coach.
The Red Devils are gearing up for a return to the Champions League next season after their Europa League win last term.
