Wes Brown names who should be Man United captain next season
Wes Brown says David De Gea should be made Man United captain

Wes Brown believes that David De Gea should be made Manchester United captain for next season.
The Spanish shot-stopper has earned a reputation as one of European football’s top goalkeepers since his move to Manchester United from Atletico Madrid back in 2011.
De Gea initially made something of a stuttering start to life at Old Trafford but he has since become one of world football’s top goalkeepers.
The Spain international has regularly been linked with a move away from Manchester United, and he has been touted as a target for Real Madrid in the last few years.
And former Manchester United defender Brown feels that Jose Mourinho should reward De Gea for his fine performances by handing him the captain’s armband next season.
Speaking in an interview with 888sport, Brown said: “I would have De Gea as captain. He’s always brilliant and has been the back-bone of the team. He shows that every game.”
Manchester United are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to try and build a squad capable of winning the title next term.
The Red Devils finished in second place and without a trophy in the top flight last season in what was Mourinho’s second campaign in charge.
They have signed Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant so far ahead of the new campaign.
