Jamie Carragher: No player in the world better than Man United star
Jamie Carragher explains why he thinks Man United star David De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world

David De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world, according to Jamie Carragher.
The Spanish shot-stopper has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s finest goalkeeper’s since his arrival at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid back in 2011.
De Gea initially made something of a stuttering start to life at Old Trafford following his move but has since developed into one of the world’s best stoppers.
The Spain international’s development has not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid coming close to signing him in the summer of 2015, before the deal fell through at the final hour.
De Gea was once again in top form for Manchester United on Saturday as he helped Jose Mourinho’s men to keep a clean sheet in their Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
And former Liverpool defender believes that there is no other goalkeeper better than De Gea at the moment.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher said: “I think he is the best goalkeeper in the world.
“Obviously I don’t know as much about goalkeeping, but from what I see, if I was picking a world XI, David De Gea would be in it.”
De Gea will be expecting to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Champions League action on Wednesday night with a trip to Portugal to take on Benfica.
The Red Devils are currently second in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City.
