Ed Woodward identifies Man United’s four summer transfer targets – report
Man United want to sign a top central defender, two new full-backs and a right-sided midfielder, say reports
Ed Woodward has already identified four areas that Manchester United need to strengthen ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the club’s executive vice-chairman is already thinking about the Red Devils’ plans for the summer as they look to bolster their squad in the off-season.
That is despite the fact that the 20-time English champions have still not officially announced who will be their manager next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a brilliant job since taking over but they suffered their first defeat under the interim manager when they lost 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday night.
According to the same story, Manchester United chief Woodward has come to the conclusion that the Red Devils need to bring in reinforcements in central defence, as well as two new full-backs.
It is also claimed that Manchester United are after a new right-sided midfielder this summer.
Manchester United are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window draws nearer.
The Red Devils are getting ready for their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
