Manchester United could land Gareth Bale as part of a deal for Paul Pogba to move to Real Madrid, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Real Madrid are keen to secure a deal to land Pogba from Manchester United after they announced the arrival of Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC on Friday.

According to the same story, Hazard will be officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player next Thursday after a deal was reached with Chelsea FC on Friday.

Now, it is claimed, Real Madrid are turning their attentions to Pogba and bringing the French World Cup winner to the Bernabeu this summer.

According to the same article, Pogba’s proposed arrival at Real Madrid would make Bale surplus to requirements at Real Madrid – and he could be used as part of the deal for the Frenchman to leave.

It is claimed in the same article that Manchester United will demand a transfer fee of around £130m for Pogba this summer, but that number could be reduced if Bale is included.

The 29-year-old Bale scored eight goals and made three assists in 29 La Liga games for Real Madrid last season, although he only started 21 times in the top flight.
