Ed Woodward keen to sign top 28-year-old for Man United – report
Man United remain keen on a deal to try and bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford from Real Madrid, say reports

Ed Woodward remains keen on a deal to bring Gareth Bale to Manchester United from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman still wants to try and bring the quality 28-year-old attacker to Old Trafford this summer as he looks to help Jose Mourinho strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
Bale’s future at Real Madrid has been a constant source of speculation all summer after he admitted that he was considering his situation in the wake of the Champions League final.
However, the same report says that the final decision about where Bale will start next season rests with new Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui and whether he is part of his main plans for the new campaign.
Manchester United are still thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer with just under three weeks of the transfer window remaining.
The Red Devils will be aiming to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in second place in the table and without a trophy last term.
