Steven Gerrard: What I really think about Paul Pogba at Man United
Steven Gerrard admits that he is a huge admirer of Paul Pogba at Manchester United

Steven Gerrard has admitted that he is a huge admirer of Paul Pogba at Manchester United, but feels that the midfielder still does have a lot of room for improvement.
Pogba is widely regarded as one of world football’s top midfielders after he arrived at Old Trafford from Juventus last summer in a world-record transfer deal.
The French midfielder has been in top form for the Red Devils in recent weeks this season and Jose Mourinho’s men have shown marked improvements whenever he is in the team.
However, the former Juventus star was sent off against Arsenal last weekend, meaning that he will miss the derby showdown with Manchester City at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Gerrard is a huge admirer of Pogba but believes that the Frenchman needs to better be able to control his forward thinking runs towards the opposition goal.
Speaking to BT Sport last week, Gerrard said: “He’s capable of scoring all kinds of goals, from outside the box and inside the box. He’s got wonderful vision.
“I think if there’s one small criticism of this player it would be that he maybe goes forward too much and if he’s playing in central midfield with one player, he might leave him a bit exposed.
“I had a similar criticism of myself when I played in that position with Didi Hamann or Xabi Alonso. I was eager to get in the box all the time.
“With experience and a bit more maturity, you pick and choose your times when you do run forward.”
Manchester United will be without Pogba for their next three domestic games after his red card against Arsenal in the 3-1 win at The Emirates last weekend.
The Red Devils head into Sunday’s game knowing that a win would leave them five points behind Manchester City heading into the hectic festive period in the Premier League.
