Ryan Giggs points out Man United squad weakness
Ryan Giggs is worried that Man United have been left short of midfielders this season

Ryan Giggs believes that Manchester United are “a couple” of midfielders short this season.
The Red Devils saw Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, and the future of Paul Pogba has been a constant source of speculation throughout the window.
Pogba has been linked with Juventus and Real Madrid this summer, and foreign clubs still having the possibility of signing him until the end of August.
And former Red Devils midfielder Giggs feels that the Pogba situation is not helping Manchester United’s lack of cover in key areas.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Giggs said: “I think we need a couple more midfielders.
“If Paul Pogba goes – we talk about culture change – but obviously you need quality.
“You might not like it but come Sunday if Paul Pogba isn’t in that midfield or the week after, and we’ve got the midfielders that we’ve got at our club, then we’re short. That’s the problem.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on a trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they take on Wolves away from home.
Manchester United’s main target this season will be to try and break back into the top four after they missed out on Champions League qualification last season.
Solskjaer was made the club’s permanent new manager back in March after initially having been appointed on an interim basis in December 2018 following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
