Graeme Souness: Man United summer signing is one of the best around
Graeme Souness says Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku is one of the best strikers in his position

Graeme Souness believes that Romelu Lukaku is one of the top centre-forwards in the world when he is on form at Manchester United.
The 24-year-old striker signed for the Red Devils from Everton in the summer transfer window and he has held down a regular spot in the first team, starting all 10 of the club’s opening Premier League games.
Lukaku has made a strong start to his Manchester United career, scoring seven goals in the top flight so far this season.
However, the Belgium international has struggled to find the net in recent weeks, leading to some criticism of the striker.
But Liverpool legend Souness has offered his backing to Lukaku, claiming that he is one of the top strikers in world football in his position.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Saturday, Souness said: “Lukaku was feeding on scraps again [against Tottenham]. He was their focal point.
“I would not complain about Lukaku. He is one of the top centre-forwards of his type around at the moment. He is totally reliant on the service he gets.”
Manchester United return to Champions League action on Tuesday night when they host Benfica at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were 1-0 winners over the Portuguese side when the two teams last met earlier this month in the Champions League.
Manchester United were 1-0 winners over Tottenham on Saturday thanks to Anthony Martial’s second-half goal at Old Trafford, a result which left them five points behind Manchester City.
