Man United target close to signing new contract – report
Harry Maguire is close to agreeing a new deal with Leicester City, say reports

Harry Maguire is close to signing a new contract at Leicester City worth £75,000 a week after Manchester United’s failed bid to sign the defender, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Foxes are set to tie the England defender down to a new contract after he ended up staying at the King Power Stadium beyond the transfer window.
Maguire was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the closing weeks of the transfer window but the Red Devils were unable to strike a deal to land the central defender.
Now, it is being claimed that Leicester are in advanced talks to get the England international to pen a new deal with the Premier League outfit.
The same report says that Manchester United were out to try and sign Maguire this summer but Leicester remained “adamant” that he was not for sale as they managed to keep hold of the centre-half.
Maguire earned rave reviews for his solid performances for England as he helped the Three Lions to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Despite the speculation linking Manchester United with Maguire, the same story says that the Red Devils did not actually make an official bid to land him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
