Pundit delivers verdict on Man United attacker: He’s an uncomplicated footballer
Garth Crooks heaps praise on Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan following his impressive start to the season

Garth Crooks has hailed Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan as an “uncomplicated footballer”.
The former Borussia Dortmund star provided the cross for Marcus Rashford’s opening goal in the Red Devils’ 2-0 win against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Armenia international made his third and fourth assist of the season in Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.
Mkhitaryan created two goals in the Red Devils’ opening 4-0 win against West Ham United last weekend to make a fine start to the 2017-18 campaign.
Manchester United signed the 29-year-old playmaker in a £30m deal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund last summer but the ex Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder took some time to settle at Old Trafford.
The talented midfielder has managed to keep Ander Herrera out of the Manchester United team in his last two games despite the Spain international’s improvement under Jose Mourinho.
And Crooks credited Mkhitaryan with putting Saturday’s game out of Swansea’s reach after teeing up Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba to both score.
“To keep midfielder Ander Herrera out of the team tells its own story, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan is doing much more than that at the moment,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“The Armenia international complements this new-look Manchester United team perfectly. This is a very uncomplicated footballer. He doesn’t fuss when things don’t go his own way and loves to get involved in the action.
“Mkhitaryan was responsible for striker Romelu Lukaku and midfielder Paul Pogba’s goals, which both came within a matter of minutes. It was also Mkhitaryan’s performance that put the game well out of Swansea’s reach.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the EFL Cup and the Europa League.
The Red Devils were 2-0 winners against Ajax in the Europa League final after Mkhitaryan scored the Manchester outfit’s second goal.
