Manchester United are one of several clubs interested in signing Marseille winger Isaac Lihadji, according to reports in the French media.
French outlet La Provence, as quoted by The Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in signing the 17-year-old but face competition from the likes of Everton and FC Barcelona for his signature.
According to the same story, Lihadji is widely regarded as one of the most exciting players in the French club’s youth academy and he is attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
The winger currently has one year left on his current contract with Marseille, and is yet to sign his first professional contract with the French club.
The same article says that the France Under-17 international held talks with Marseille about his future last month but a deal has not yet been agreed.
Lihadji has featured for Andre Villas-Boas’ Marseille side in pre-season and he was used as a half-time substitute in last week’s 8-1 win over DC United.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing to kick off their new Premier League campaign with a crunch clash against Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday 11 August.
