Insider delivers latest update on Man United’s bid to sign 28-year-old
Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, according to Kaveh Solhekol

Manchester United are getting closer to agreeing a deal to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer, according to journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign the 28-year-old Croatia international in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho looks to further bolster his squad at Old Trafford ahead of next season.
Manchester United confirmed their second signing of the summer on Monday when they unveiled Romelu Lukaku following his move from Everton.
However, it would seem that Mourinho is still looking to add some attacking quality to his squad ahead of his second campaign in charge of the Red Devils.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday morning, Solhekol said: “We said that Inter wanted Matic and they are trying very, very hard to keep hold of Ivan Perisic.
“Keeping him seems to be a priority for the Italian club at the moment, although talks with Manchester United continue.
“Our understanding is a deal is getting closer.
“Inter are holding out for £48m and it’s hoped a deal can be structured so they can get close to that figure.
“Perisic is having talks with Inter after returning to Italy from holiday.”
Manchester United are currently preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after the Red Devils beat Ajax in the Europa League final back in May.
The Red Devils, who finished sixth in the Premier League table, also secured EFL Cup glory in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
