Jamie Carragher raves about Man United star after 2-0 win over Everton
Jamie Carragher lavishes praise on Jesse Lingard after Man United's 2-0 win over Everton on Monday

Jamie Carragher lavished praise on Jesse Lingard after Manchester United’s impressive 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.
The England international continued his fine form for the Red Devils as he netted Manchester United’s second goal in the Goodison Park clash.
After a goalless first half on Merseyside, Anthony Martial handed the Red Devils the lead early in the second half with a fine finish.
And Lingard made it 2-0 when he curled in a brilliant strike to net his seventh goal in his last nine Premier League games.
Former Liverpool FC striker Carragher was hugely impressed with what he saw from Lingard at Goodison Park on Monday night and singled him out for special praise during the Reds’ coverage of the game.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher said: “It was very similar to the first goal.
“It’s a great finish and that’s what you need to beat Jordan Pickford and the form that he’s in.
“He uses the defender and just bends it round him like Martial did and just finds that top corner.
“What a finish – and what form this lad’s in. I think Jesse Lingard, the form he’s in, has a chance of being on that plane in the summer [to the World Cup with England]. What a vital goal that was.”
Manchester United return to FA Cup action on Friday night with a crunch clash against Derby County in the third round at Old Trafford.
The win at Goodison Park left Manchester United in second place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 22 games of the new campaign.
Jose Mourinho will be hoping to lead the Red Devils to at least a top-four finish this season.
