Jose Mourinho offered clear advice about Man United January signings
Steve McLaren explains why he doesn't think Man United have to make many signings this month

Steve McLaren believes that Manchester United are not in need of any signings in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the mid-season window presents Jose Mourinho with the chance to significantly bolster his squad.
Manchester United are currently way off the pace in the race for the Premier League title and find themselves second in the table and 15 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City.
Mourinho could well be considering bolstering his squad this month as he looks to give his team the best possible chance of finishing above Manchester City, unlikely as that is looking right now.
The Portuguese coach is also preparing his side for their Champions League last 16 clash against Sevilla next month as they look to progress in Europe’s elite club competition.
However, former England manager McLaren does not feel that the Red Devils are in need of significant reinforcements this month.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning, McLaren said: “I don’t think so [that Man United need signings in January].
“I think Mourinho just needs to get people fit. Lukaku, Ibrahimovic are an example.
“I think he’s got a good enough squad and it’s very difficult to find a player of top, top quality which would be required by Manchester United.
“I think they made good signings in the summer, they’ve made progress, they’ve leapt up to second and are competing.”
Meanwhile, Mourinho is currently preparing his Manchester United side for their crunch FA Cup third round clash against Derby County at Old Trafford on Friday night.
