Gary Neville heaps praise on David De Gea after the Manchester United goalkeeper's strong display against Liverpool

Gary Neville lavished praise on David De Gea after the goalkeeper produced a brilliant save to keep out Joel Matip in Manchester United’s goalless draw at Liverpool on Saturday.
The Spanish shot stopper produced a superb save to deny Matip as he got down low to his left and blocked the effort.
It ended up being Liverpool’s best chance of the game in what was a disappointing result for both sets of fans.
And former Manchester United defender Neville heaped praise on De Gea following his save in the first half.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Neville said: “He is absolutely brilliant, David De Gea.
“He produced a world-class save. It’s just wonderful, it really is. What a save.”
The result left Manchester United in second place in the Premier League table after eight games.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are currently sixth and seven points behind leaders Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with a trip to Maribor, while Manchester United are in European action on Wednesday with a clash against Benfica in Portugal.
Liverpool are aiming to build on their fourth-placed finish from last season, while Manchester United are looking to win the title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
