Jose Mourinho insists it is unlikely he will be in charge at Manchester United for the next 20 year like Arsene Wenger has managed to achieve at Arsenal.
The Red Devils boss has entered his second season in charge at Old Trafford after he took over the reins from his former Barcelona head coach Louis van Gaal in May 2016.
Mourinho has already won the League Cup and the Europa League as Manchester United manager to help rebuild the club’s winning mentality in his first season in charge.
Manchester United are being talked up as a genuine title contenders this term following a return of 20 points from their opening eight games to leave the Red Devils two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
Mourinho’s future has been the source of debate over the past week amid talk of interest from cash-rich Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
And the Manchester United boss named Wenger as the exception to the rule at Arsenal in an impatient climate for managers in European football.
““I was asked how is it possible in modern football that any manager is going to last 15 to 20 years in the same club,” Mourinho told his pre-match media conference on Tuesday.
“I think Arsene Wenger is the last one at Arsenal.
“I think it is impossible for us with everything that surrounds the job, all of the pressures that surround the job.”
Manchester United played out a goalless draw with bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield last weekend to extend their unbeaten run to eight games in the Premier League this term.
