Robbie Savage defends Jose Mourinho about Man United attitude
Robbie Savage defends Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for the attitude of his players

Robbie Savage believes the Manchester United players – and not Jose Mourinho – are to blame for their 2-1 loss at Huddersfield Town last weekend.
The Red Devils were unbeaten in eight games in the Premier League heading to the John Smith Stadium to lose for the first time in 2017-18 season.
Manchester United were trailing 2-0 behind the Terriers before England international Marcus Rashford scored from close range after Romelu Lukaku’s superb assist.
Mourinho was heavily critical of his Manchester United players for their poor attitude at Huddersfield despite being unbeaten in both the Premier League and the Champions League ahead of their trip to the promoted side.
Some pundits have blamed Mourinho’s negative approach to their goalless draw at Liverpool earlier this month as a contributory factor in their loss at Huddersfield.
Former Leicester midfielder Savage is adamant that Mourinho shouldn’t be blamed for what was a disappointing performance from his Manchester United squad.
“People are talking about the attitude being right. I’m not blaming Mourinho for that. I’m blaming the players,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the League Cup and the Europa League.
