Marouane Fellaini has insisted that he would “break his foot” in a Manchester United shirt for Jose Mourinho if he had to.

The Belgian midfielder produced a solid display for the Red Devils in Stockholm on Wednesday night as he helped Manchester United beat Ajax 2-0 and win the Europa League title.

Fellaini has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United team this season under Mourinho and has clearly earned the trust of the Portuguese coach.

And Fellaini insists that he is completely prepared to give his all for Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Fellaini told hln.be – as quoted by the Independent: “When I feel that people trust me, I’m prepared to do everything.

“If I have to break my foot for him [Mourinho], I’ll do it. That’s me. Even when I’m in pain, I play.

“Now I am here at Manchester United, I’m in and want to stay here.

“I work every day with great players, with great staff, at a great club and I’m happy to be here and try to give everything for this club.”

Manchester United’s win over Ajax on Wednesday night secured their place in the group stage of next season’s Champions League, despite their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League table.
