Man United still want to sign 23-year-old even after Nemanja Matic arrives – report
Manchester United will still try and sign Fabinho even if Nemanja Matic arrives at Chelsea this summer, say reports

Manchester United will still pursue a deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco this summer even if they are successful in their bid to lure Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford, according to reports.
The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils are still keen to bring the 23-year-old Monaco star to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to beef up his midfield options ahead of his second season in charge.
The same report states that Mourinho sees Fabinho as more than just a holding midfield player, with the Brazilian also having played at right-back for Monaco in the past.
The article claims that Chelsea midfielder Matic will be confirmed as a Manchester United player this week, but Mourinho is still pushing ahead with the Red Devils’ interest in Fabinho.
The story also states that Matic’s move to Manchester United will be confirmed as soon as Chelsea are able to tie up a deal to land Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer but have so far only confirmed the arrival of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
