Robbie Savage believes Manchester United will win the Premier League title this season despite Manchester City’s advantage at the top of the table.
The Red Devils made a difficult start to October following a goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield before a 2-1 loss to promoted side Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium.
Manchester United ended their two-game winless run with a narrow 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
France international Anthony Martial came off the bench to score an 81st-minute winner to land a blow on one of their big title rivals at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are still five points behind current leaders Manchester City after the Citizens won nine of their opening 10 games in the Premier League.
Former Leicester midfielder Savage is still backing Manchester United to win the title despite Manchester City’s incredible run of form.
“I went with Man United and I’m sticking with them,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Manchester United are looking to win their first Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson steered the Red Devils to their final top-flight crown under his management.
The 20-time English champions signed Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window.
