Manchester United remain keen on signing Fabinho from Monaco this summer, according to reports in France.
French outlet RMC is reporting that the Red Devils still see Fabinho as one of their top targets this summer despite the recent reports linking Manchester United with a swoop for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
It is claimed that Manchester United have not given up in their pursuit of Fabinho, but talks with Monaco have slowed down somewhat because Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for his signature.
However, the same report says that no agreement between Fabinho and any other club has yet been reached.
Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is likely to be keen to bring in a long-term replacement for veteran midfielder Michael Carrick, who is approaching the end of his career.
Manchester United will be able to offer any potential new signings the lure of Champions League football next season after their Europa League triumph last term.
