Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, say reports

Manchester United are closing in on the £35m signing of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are edging closer towards securing the signature of the Serbia international as Jose Mourinho moves to bolster his midfield options at Old Trafford.
The same story claims that Matic is poised to sign a four-year contract with the Red Devils as he makes the move to Manchester from west London.
The article also states that the deal could be concluded as soon as this weekend, meaning he could soon become Manchester United’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
The report states that Chelsea will be prepared to let Matic leave Stamford Bridge as soon as they are able to wrap up a deal to sign 22-year-old Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
It is also claimed that Matic has agreed personal terms with Manchester United, and would earn around £150,000 a week should he sign for the Red Devils this summer.
Matic knows Mourinho well from the pair’s time together at Chelsea, as they won the Premier League title and EFL Cup together in the 2014-15 season.
