Lingard sends clear message to Man United fans about Lukaku
Jesse Lingard praises Romelu Lukaku for his strong performances for Manchester United in recent weeks

Jesse Lingard has talked up Romelu Lukaku’s importance to Manchester United following the striker’s recent good form for the Red Devils.
The Belgian striker has been adjusting well to life at Old Trafford since having signed for Jose Mourinho’s team from Everton in the summer transfer window last year.
Lukaku has been in good form in recent weeks and he netted Manchester United’s opener in their 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion as they secured their place in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
The 24-year-old has netted 24 goals and made seven assists in all competitions for Mourinho’s men so far this season and he has been a regular fixture in the starting line-up.
And Manchester United attacker Lingard says that the striker has been proving his importance to the Red Devils with his strong performances in recent weeks.
Speaking to Manchester United’s website after Saturday’s FA Cup win, Lingard said: “We know what he possesses and he has that presence up front for us.
“He’s that lone man who holds the ball up well for us. For him to score that many goals at this time of the season is great.”
Manchester United will now switch their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their home clash against Swansea City at Old Trafford after the international break, on 31 March.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification under Mourinho this term.
