Romelu Lukaku remains determined to quit Man United this summer, according to reports
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has “blown his chances” of keeping Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Belgian striker is determined to quit Old Trafford despite having held talks with Solskjaer in recent days.
The same story says that Solskjaer held talks with Lukaku earlier this week “pleading” with him to stay at Old Trafford for another year.
However, the article says that Lukaku still wants out of Manchester United and that’s mainly due to Solskjaer’s treatment of him over the last six months.
Lukaku, according to the same story, has his heart set on a move to Inter Milan this summer, as soon as the Italian club are able to cough up the £75m fee needed to sign him.
According to the article, Lukaku felt undermined by Solskjaer last season after moving Marcus Rashford ahead of him in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Lukaku scored 12 goals in 32 Premier League games for Manchester United last season under Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho.
Manchester United have so far only signed two players this summer – Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka – as they prepare for Solskjaer’s first full campaign in charge.
