Graeme Souness: There’s an issue with Luke Shaw at Man United
Graeme Souness discusses Luke Shaw's struggles at Manchester United under new boss Jose Mourinho

Graeme Souness believes there must be some kind of “issue” with Luke Shaw at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho this season.
The left-back has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Manchester United first team this season and Mourinho recently claimed that the defender is a long way behind some of his team-mates in terms of focus and commitment.
Shaw missed most of last season after suffering a broken leg at the start of the campaign but is now believed to be fully fit as he bids to break back into the first team at Old Trafford.
Liverpool legend Souness admits that he has been surprised by Shaw’s apparent struggle to win over Mourinho at Old Trafford and reckons that there must be something going on behind the scenes at the club.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Souness said: “Prior to Luke Shaw breaking his leg that night in Holland, I thought he had turned a corner and grasped what being at a big football club is all about and I thought he was destined to be a top player for United and England.
“Jose’s an experienced manager and he knows what he wants from him. He’s working with him every single day.
“I would have thought the boy’s attitude has to be right – he’s a baby, he’s still learning the game at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“You’d have thought he’d be bang at it when he turns up to training. There’s obviously something the manager is not happy with and you have to listen to Jose. There seems to be an issue.”
