Gary Neville blasts ’embarrassing’ Man United star after Huddersfield draw
Gary Neville has his say on Luke Shaw's display for Man United in their 1-1 draw with Huddersfield

Gary Neville has described Luke Shaw’s defending as “embarrassing” after Manchester United’s top-four hopes ended with a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town on Sunday.
The Red Devils took the lead through Scott McTominay at the John Smith’s Stadium, but they were pegged back in the second half when Isaac Mbenza netted an equaliser for the hosts.
Shaw was at fault for failing to deal with a ball in defence as he swung his foot at it but missed the ball, allowing Mbenza through on goal to score.
And it is fair to say that former Manchester United defender Neville was not particularly impressed by what he saw from Shaw during Sunday’s game.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Neville said: “There was a goal similar last season that went right through this Manchester united defence.
“Lossl – he’ll be congratulated – he had a nightmare for the first goal but he sees it quickly.
“Well Luke Shaw that’s just embarrassing.
“Then you look at David De Gea, he saves so many with his feet [but] this one’s through his legs.
“Mbenza takes a look, side-foots it, [and] knows that De Gea will split his legs to save it with his feet.”
Manchester United will take on Cardiff City at Old Trafford in their final game of the season on Sunday afternoon.
It has been a disappointing season for the Red Devils, with Manchester United having failed to challenge for silverware and having failed to qualify for the Champions League.
All eyes will be on the summer transfer window and the players Manchester United could bring in to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
