Harry Maguire is keen on a transfer to Manchester United from Leicester City this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.
The 25-year-old’s future has been something of a source of speculation in recent days amid widespread reports that the Red Devils are keen on bringing him to Old Trafford before the transfer deadline.
Maguire earned plenty of praise for his strong performances for England at this summer’s World Cup as he helped the Three Lions to reach the semi-finals in Russia.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
Now, Sky Sports reporter Dorsett has claimed that the player himself is indeed keen on a move to Old Trafford this summer should the option be on the table.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Dorsett said: “He wants to go to Man United. That has been made categorically clear to me in the last few days.”
Manchester United have so far only signed Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant so far this summer.
The Red Devils will be aiming to be the main challengers for the Premier League title next season after they ended up in second place and without a trophy under Mourinho last term.
